Breakfast or Brunch Charcuterie Cups
So pretty and easy to make, these breakfast charcuterie cups are perfect for Easter, Mother’s Day, or a shower.Bite-sized edible arrangements are filled with prosciutto and cantaloup skewers, cheese, fresh fruit, granola, and assorted pastries.
These are so easy to make and look so good displayed together. Plus they allow your guests to grab and go instead of hovering over a board. Guests are free to mingle and enjoy their charcuterie cups anywhere. Check out myChristmas Charcuterie Cups and Valentine’s Day Charcuterie Cups.
INGREDIENTS FOR VALENTINE’S DAY CHARCUTERIE CUPS
- Prosciutto – rolled into a rose shape. See recipe card for instructions.
- Cantaloupe – use a melon baller to make cantaloupe balls.
- Cheese– I used Babybel cheese because our store was out of my preferred Brie Bites which are mini round brie circles. Hardboiled eggs would also be a great addition.
- Granola– Use a crunchy granola bar broken into pieces or a granola that comes in large pieces. These go into the bottom of the cup to give it weight and help the co*cktail picks to stay in place.
- Fruit– a cutie (helps weigh the cup down) raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries.
- Pastries – I used store-bought mini cinnamon rolls and donut holes.
- Cheese Sticks – a crispy savory option that adds height to the cup.
- Fresh Mint – small springs of fresh mint add a festive touch. If you add anything different as an accent, please make sure it is food-safe. Baby’s Breath for example is not food safe and should not be touching food. Herbs are a good choice because they are always food-safe!

HOW TO ASSEMBLE CHARCUTERIE CUPS
- Start by adding Cutie, granola, and cheese to the bottom of the cup.
- Assemble the skewers as pictured.
- To create the prosciutto roses for the skewers, fold prosciutto into thirds lengthwise. Roll into a loose spiral.
- Arrange the skewers in the charcuterie cups as pictured, tucking in mint and finishing with the mini cinnamon rolls in the front of the cups. Fill in with berries as needed.
MAKE-AHEAD BREAKFAST CHARCUTERIE CUPS
I’ve tested out making charcuterie cups ahead a couple of times now and it works like a charm! You can make-ahead two ways.
- Make just the skewers ahead and keep them tightly covered in the refrigerator. Then assemble right before the party.
- Completely assemble the charcuterie cups and cover each with plastic wrap. If you assemble the entire cups ahead, keep the pastries separate until ready to serve.
- You can also substitute grapes which are sturdier than berries. Finally, add the mint right before serving.
TIPS FOR MAKING CHARCUTERIE CUPS
- Have a plan when shopping! It’s easy to over-buy. Try printing the recipe card and using it as a shopping list.
- To simplify the cups, skip the cantaloup skewers and just add store-bought pastries and berries.
- Substitute ingredients based on what you can find at your grocery store or what you have on hand.
