Integrate your dndbeyond.com content: Characters, Spells, Items, Monsters, Adventures, Encounters, Classes, and Races. Quickly integrates your content into compendiums and import your characters from D&DBeyond (and sync their status back at the end of your game!)

All users can import Characters, Spells, and Items.

Patreon supporters have access to Monster, Class, Race and Feat Importing or run your own Proxy server for Character, Spell, Item, and Monster importing if you prefer.

Characters

You can import characters by toggling the edit switch on the default character sheet and clicking the DDB Importer button.

Exclude Items

You can exclude items from character import by selecting the owned item and the D&DBeyond logo:

Features:

  • Import characters with their features, weapons, spells all complete!
  • Update some character features back to D&DBeyond (Patreon only)
  • Monster Muncher - parses monster stat blocks from DDB into Foundry
  • Encounter Muncher - imports DDB encounters into your game
  • Using Adventure Muncher, import journals, scenes and monsters from your DDB Adventures

Pre-requisites and recommendations

There are no other requirements for using DDB Importer.

That said, I would recommend the following modules for the best support:

  • Magic Items for attaching spells to magic items
  • DAE for improving some bonus effect management
  • DFreds Convenient Effects to help with effect management
  • Vision/Detection Modes 5e adds those lovely missing vision modes for 5e.
  • Arbron’s Summoning will allow the creation and use of summoned actors for spells and features in Tasha's

If you want to add spell effects, and high levels of automation you will need, (this is not recommended if you're using Foundry for the first time):

  • DAE for skill bonuses and basic effects
  • Midi-QOL
  • About Time
  • Times Up.
  • DFreds Convenient Effects

Several macros that impact tokens rely on:

  • Active Auras
  • Active Token Effects

For super high automation (this is not recommended if you're using Foundry for the first time):

  • Chris's Premades includes a lot of more advanced effects, but has a lot of module dependencies.

For prettiness add:

  • Token Magic FX.
  • Automated Animations
