- When Should You Regrip Your Clubs
When Should You Regrip Your Clubs
As a golfer, one of the less common but very important things you can do to improve your game is to regrip your clubs. Over time, the grips on your clubs can wear down, making it harder to maintain proper control of your shots. Here are some signs that it's time to regrip your clubs.
First, if your grips are starting to feel slick or slippery, it's time to regrip. This can happen when your grips get worn down or when they get wet, and it can make it tough to keep a good grip on your club during your swing.
Another sign is when you start to notice that the grips are wearing out or getting thin. This can happen after years of use, or if you play a lot of golf. When your grips are worn out, it's hard to get a good feel for the club, and you may find yourself making mistakes or hitting bad shots.
Golf clubs should feel good in your hands so if they're starting to feel uncomfortable then it might be time. Grips that are too thin or too thick can cause discomfort and potentially throw off your swing.
Finally, it's a good idea to regrip your clubs once a year, even if they don't show any obvious signs of wear and tear. This will help ensure that your grips are always in good condition and that you're getting the best possible performance from your clubs. Plus, it's an easy and relatively inexpensive way to take care of your equipment and improve your game.
If you think it's time to regrip your clubs then head into your nearest Drummond Golf store and check out our extensive range. Depending on your clubs, our friendly team members can replace them on site or we may need to send them back to the supplier.
